John has been studying and practicing theatre for nearly 20 years and has loved every minute of it. During this time, he has had the fortune of playing both on the stage and behind it. Over the last few years, he has further honed his skills as a freelance designer and technical consultant. Some of his most recent credits include Wait Until Dark School of the Future (scenic design), The Future Freaks Me out BMCC Theatre Program (lighting design), Moore & Sons WTC (director). John moved to NYC in the spring of 2007 and enrolled at Borough of Manhattan Community College that same fall. By the spring of 2012, John had earned an MA in Educational Theatre from New York University. He currently works as a freelance designer as well as a technical teaching artist with Roundabout Theatre Company, and serves as Technical Director for the Borough of Manhattan Community College theatre program. For the past three years, he has also served as scenic designer, assistant director and mentor for the theatre program at School of the Future, a public school in NYC.
